DETROIT (ChurchMilitant.com) - Christians worldwide suffered Christmas Day attacks from Muslims. In the wake of warnings from ISIS telling Christians in the Middle East not to celebrate the holiday because "they are heretics," Muslims attacked four men in Berlin, Germany on the day after Christmas, St. Stephen's Day.
A Muslim man reportedly accosted the Christians as they were leaving a venue in Potzdamer Platz, shouting, "I am a Muslim! What are you?" He then assaulted the Germans with the help of four accomplices. The injured men turned out to be Orthodox Christians from Serbia and Montenegro.
Meanwhile, the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem — head of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land — was met with a hail of rocks by Palestinian rioters as he entered Bethlehem on Christmas Day. Although no one was injured, the car sustained heavy damage.
Islamic radicals were also arrested for allegedly burning down a Christmas tree in Zababdeh, a village made up mainly of Christians on the northern West Bank of Palestine. The Muslims allegedly have ties to terrorist groups. Palestinian security forces also arrested about a dozen suspected Muslim radicals in Bethlehem on Wednesday.

And in Calais, France, hundreds of Muslim migrants looted trucks and threatened motorists in the streets on Christmas Day. The port of Calais has become a major center for migrants and refugees, home to a migrant camp called "The Jungle." Its 6,000 mostly Muslim inhabitants come from Syria, Eritrea and Afghanistan. Many of them had been trying to break into the Eurotunnel that leads to London when the crowds flooded the streets and started stealing items from vehicles.
Such attacks come in the wake of Somalia and Brunei's announcements this month that Christians were forbidden to celebrate Christmas in the country. Sheikh Mohamed Khayrow, director general of Somalia's religious affairs ministry, said Tuesday of any Christmas festivities, "There should be no activity at all. All events related to Christmas and New Year celebrations are contrary to Islamic culture, which could damage the faith of the Muslim community."
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei also forbade Christians from openly celebrating the birth of Christ, warning violaters they could face up to five years in prison if they disobeyed.
"Using religious symbols like crosses, lighting candles, putting up Christmas trees, singing religious songs, sending Christmas greetings ... are against Islamic faith," said imams in various sermons published in the local press. Even Santa hats were forbidden. Both Somalia and Brunei are almost entirely Muslim.
